Dr Gillian Warson
Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford
How to get there:
Christ Church is in the centre of Oxford and is best approached on foot. If you are driving, use one of the Park and Ride sites around the city. There is public transport by bus and train from all over the county. NB: Sorry, but it will not be possible for parents and carers to wait at the Cathedral during the day.
What they said about last year's course ….
…they had a wonderful time … the whole experience stretched and stimulated them.
…I listened to them sing the Eucharist last night and felt suitably proud. It must have been good because they want to do it again next year.
…She really enjoyed herself and has been singing all day
…and a BIG THANK YOU for organising and running such a successful course
|For the second year running, a course specially for Key Stage 2 children, introduced them to the pleasures of singing church music. Children did not need to be members of a church choir. As well as lots of singing there were plenty of other activities, including a tour of the Cathedral, art and craft work and an introduction to music theory. All the activities took place in and around the Cathedral.|
